Ordering
We accept the following credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, Switch, Delta and American Express..
If you do not wish to pay for your purchase by credit card, we will accept cheques, but they must have the cheque guarantee card details on the reverse side. Goods will not be dispatched until the cheque has been received and cleared funds are in our account. This procedure will normally take 10 working days. We also accept payment via PayPal, please contact us for details of our Paypal account.
If you have any complaints, or have not received your order after the specified delivery date, or if goods arrive damaged, please email us at orders@arthursbar.com or telephone us (09:00 to 18:00 GMT Monday to Saturday) on +44 (0) 845 230 2883 (This number is a local rate number).

Availability
As a rule we will have the majority of wines and spirits listed in nearby stock. Those that are out of stock should be avaiable within 3 days. If an item is out of stock iit will be delivered to you as soon as it has arrived with us. If you order more than one item, we will wait until all the products are in stock before dispatching your order.
Occasionally a delay in shipment or unexpectedly high demand may result in an item going out of stock between order and delivery. In this event we reserve the right to replace the item with an alternative of an equal or greater value. Where a vintage has run out you will automatically be sent the next vintage.
If you do not wish to receive alternatives, please tick the "no substitutes" box at the Checkout. If the item will not be coming back into stock, you will be offered the choice of ordering an alternative or receiving a refund. This will not apply to promotional cases.
Where an item in a promotional case becomes unavailable a similar wine of an equal or greater value will be substituted without notice to you.

Security
To ensure the privacy of your credit card details, your information is encrypted using a secure server. No credit card details are stored online.
The secure server software used by Arthur's Bar encrypts all your personal information, including credit card details, name, and address. We use the latest secure technology (128 bit SSL encryption) to guarantee your credit card details remain scrambled whenever they pass over the web. This actually makes ordering by credit card from Arthur's Bar more secure than giving your card to a waiter in a restaurant.

We comply with all current Data Protection Legislation. Any details provided by phone, fax, post or over the Internet are held by ArthursBar.com on computer and are never released to a third party without your permission. With the details we have, you will be added to our mailing list, unless you specify otherwise.

Delivery
Christmas and New Year's Deliveries
In order to guarantee your wines are delivered for Christmas, please order by midnight on 19th December. You may continue to order past this day and we will do our best to get your orders out to you up to 23rd December. After this date, deliveries will resume on the first Thursday in January of the following year.
If you wish to order for New Year's Eve, then please do so by midnight 21st December.
Please note that in our guarantee to deliver your wines, we cannot guarantee delivery for Christmas once an attempted delivery has been made unsuccessfully, as it is dependent on the recipient contacting the local courier depot to arrange another delivery time.
Delivery within the UK mainland is £7.50, per order, Monday to Friday, whether the order is 1 bottle or 1 case.. Saturday delivery charges are £37.50. We do not deliver on Sundays. Delivery charges for the Channel Islands and other countries within the European Community can be provided upon request. Provided you live in the UK mainland and your order is placed before 11:00am and the products are in stock we will attempt deliver the very next day. Orders placed after 11:00am will arrive in 2 days. If you place an order before 11.00a on a Friday, we will deliver the following Monday, unless you specify that you wish to pay the Saturday delivery surcharge. All destinations outside of the UK mainland should be delivered within 5 working days, however, this varies depending on the country we are delivering to.
Please try to give a delivery address & contact telephone number, where someone is usually there to receive the parcel, as it will have to be signed for. For this reason, please note that we cannot leave goods outside of the house. It is possible to give us instructions to leave goods with a neighbour, but we are not responsible for any losses, should your neighbour not return the delivery to you.
Please also examine the goods on arrival. The carrier will collect any damaged goods.
Please make sure that the delivery address, name, telephone number and postcode on your order are correct.
Deliveries are made by a carrier service, and therefore specific times for delivery cannot be arranged, however, deliveries are generally made between 9.00am and 4.00 pm.

Legal Restrictions
It is illegal to sell wines and spirits to anyone under the age of 18. Therefore, you must be aged 18 years or over to order and by placing an order, you are confirming this.

Returns and Refunds
If you wish to cancel an order, you may do so within 7 days of receipt, provided all bottles are unopened and undamaged. You will be reimbursed the price of the wine, spirits or gifts within 30 days from the date the goods have been returned to us by our carrier less the return cost implemented by the courier. Please note that we are unable to reimburse you for original delivery charges when you have exercised your right to cancel an order and that we refund postage costs only if the return is a result of our error.
Parcels not delivered and returned to us, will be held for 6 months awaiting further instruction. Thereafter, a refund or further charge will be applied to the same means of payment for the original cost of the goods less the incurred return courier charge.
If all of the bottles are broken on delivery we will replace the case of wine and reimburse you the delivery charge. However, the goods must be examined on arrival and our carrier will return to us any damaged goods. If only one bottle is broken, we reserve the right to send you another bottle, or reimburse you for the price of one bottle.
Occasionally bottles are corked. In this event, email us on orders@arthursbar.com or phone on +44 (0) 845 230 2883, re-cork the bottle and we will arrange for it to be collected from you and to arrange your refund.
Please note that we can only process returns and refunds, for items purchased from ArthursBar.com.

The Whole Wide World of Wine
If you would like to taste your way through the 10 promotional cases offered, then we will send you 1 case each month and charge your credit card £152.50 each month. Just complete the Continuous Authority Transaction Form, enclosed in the first case you receive, and return it to us at the given address. On the same date of each month (except weekends), the next case will automatically be sent to you, there is no need to contact us. Each month the delivery will be free of charge, a saving of over £55.
If at any time you wish to cancel this order or need to make changes to a delivery address, just email us at giftservice@arthursbar.com to notify us. Please note, however, that if you do cancel your order before all 10 cases have been supplied, then we will charge your credit card for the difference between the normal price and the discount price on all cases already delivered, and all the delivery charges incurred for every case up to the date of cancellation. Alternatively, if we find that we owe you any money, we will automatically refund your credit card the difference.
